Lindsey and I absolutely love our jobs. Its always amazing to be present, and capturing the moment when couples say “I will,” and then “I do,” yet another thing entirely to be completely incognito, and literally a fly on the wall when a guy drops down on one knee and pours his heart out.
We met Tony + Anna at William + Jessica’s wedding last year, and had a great time getting to know them. So when Tony called us, and had planned a beautiful surprise engagement on Chattanooga’s Walnut Street Bridge, we were delighted to oblige. The only thing we were somewhat nervous about was the secrecy! Tony had done so well to keep the engagement a surprise, that we didn’t want to be the “weak link!”
There are many reasons that Lindsey and I aren’t secret agents, nor private investigators. For one, I’ve got the jumping chin (yes, it’s true: my chin quivers uncontrollably when I’m nervous, and/or concentrating) and Lindsey…well, she gets the giggles. 😉 We tracked the couple as they exited their carriage ride, and then raced ahead of them so that we could be “in position” along the bridge in order to be ready when Tony dropped down to one knee! I’ve included some of our ‘cloak and dagger communiques,’ to show the level of sophistication we used to pull this off! 🙂 haha!
In all seriousness, it was truly a beautiful and amazing experience when Tony dropped down on one knee, and asked Anna for her hand. There’s nothing like the faces of two people who are so uncontrollably happy and excited about their future together. Congratulations to this amazing couple, on their engagement (she said “yes,” if anyone was wondering…) and to Tony for pulling off quite an amazing secret engagement!

Ginger WatkinsThat’s my Anna! These pictures are amazing, I feel like I was there! I love that Anna found the most perfect person in Tony, I know he loves her as much as I do, and trust me, that is saying a lot!
