Ben + Miranda | married

Last week, I photographed an amazing wedding in Rome, GA, at the former family home of the gorgeous bride. A special thanks to one of our MPC shooters, P.J. for 2nd-shooting with me! You’ll see some of his tremendous images mixed throughout the post as well!

From the moment I met this couple at our engagement session, I knew it was going to be a “no-excuses” wedding…The wedding day turned out to be beautiful: sunny — but not too hot — and an incredible couple to photograph. So the pressure was on to create some great images. The couple and their family and friends had personality and character in spades, and it was a photographer’s dream: from the hilarious finger-‘staches, to the bagpipes, to lots of laughter and the perfect, quintessential Southern backdrop. So basically, it was “no-excuses” because if the pictures weren’t fantastic, then I was squarely to blame…

To top it all off, Ben even decided to cast a line in while we were photographing he and the groomsmen, and he even snagged a fish! That’s definitely a wedding first for me….thankfully there was some hand sanitizer to help out his scent for the rest of the day…”eau de largemouth” isn’t going to be the next rage in colognes…

The band that rocked the tent was Entice, and the guests showed me and P.J. some new dance moves and a ton of laughs. I also have to mention a local brewery that the guests enjoyed, called Chattanooga Brewing Co. To close out the night, the bride and groom exited to dozens of beautiful sky lanterns, and drove off in a phenomenal ’71 Mercedes convertible. Congrats, Ben + Miranda, and thanks to all who helped out to make this amazing event possible!

As if this wedding could not be more special, I procured a song that Ben wrote and performed for his bride…and set it to a slideshow that features it! So check it out! Such a great song, and a talented groom!

Ben and Miranda, enjoy your SLIDESHOW!

You can register to see all of the images when they’re ready on Pictage, and also get a $10 gift certificate for pre-ordering!

Believe my 2nd favorite pix(after Bride/Groom w/ beautiful teeth) was the 3 B’s dance routine on stage. The Blues Brothers take a back seat here!
