Christopher + Rachel | Kennebunkport

We’ve been looking forward to this wedding all year! There was a lot to be excited about: A gorgeous bride, a classically handsome groom, both happened to be two of the most generous and genuine people we’ve had ever met. All of that, along with the fact that two U.S. Presidents would be in attendance, as well as the reception’s fantastic location at Walker’s Point. Needless to say, Kennebunkport was abuzz because of the Presidential visit. Lindsey and I were ready, and were thankful for my brother J.R.’s help as our photo assistant.

Lindsey began the day with Rachel and the Moms at Eddie Taylor Salon. J.R. and I traveled out to Walker’s Point to familiarize ourselves with the location as well as to shoot some of the extraordinary wedding details. We also had the pleasure of meeting the phenomenal florists Debra and Scott Corey, who did all of the flowers for the event.

Rachel looked absolutely radiant in her Judd Waddell gown from Hitched Salon in D.C. Christopher was classic in his khaki suit with coral tie and his cuff links featuring the Presidential Seal. After a beautiful ceremony at St. Ann’s Church, Rachel traded her cathedral length veil for fresh gardenias which were exquisite. Everyone had to be searched by secret service before boarding the Trolleys that transferred us to Walker’s Point. The classic white tent was reminiscent of the Denver Airport. Unfortunately, the weather did not hold out through cocktail reception, but that didn’t seem to bother the guests, who enjoyed delicious food from Kitchen Chicks Catering. All 24 members of the Mood Swings Band were unbelievable and kept the guests dancing all night long. After showers of rose petals, Rachel & Christopher got away in a vintage Rolls-Royce.
