I truly can’t believe that my brother is old enough to get married. It seems like only yesterday that my sister and I were dressing him up, (sorry Blake!) putting him in our baby stroller, and pretending that he was our baby. Now he has grown into such a strong, confident, amazing person. We are so excited to have Elizabeth as a part of our family! When we first met, I felt like I had already known you for years. You truly complete our family with your ‘feistiness’ and positive, outgoing spirit.
John and I think back to 8 years ago when we got married, and the world was in front of us. You guys have so much potential and ability; and I think that the sum will be even greater than it’s parts. We are so honored and excited to watch as you begin your journey together.

Here are a few photographs to commemorate that…I had so much had fun shooting Blake and Ms. BUBliS (a.k.a.: Bubs), and tried out some new ideas on them. Lots of the images seemed to go together into small series, which came together quite well. About half of the images were shot on film…let’s see if the photo geeks can pick out the film shots!
Hint: film was shot on a Contax 645.
All of the settings are significant: B+B were engaged not far from where we began (the slightly traditional set). I see their relationship as…well…both elegant and whimsical, so that brings about the set that could be called “playing hard to get”. Both of these guys are athletic, so the fresh-cut hay bales were just an excuse for a picturesque jungle-gym. Speaking of athletic, I forgot to mention that Bubs was a stand-out soccer player for our alma-mater, Belmont. Blake played quite a bit himself, so it was no stretch for some fun soccer pics.
I couldn’t resist a littleĀ stop-motion slideshow. Thanks for being so much fun to photograph, you guys!
