Matthew + Bethany | married

Lindsey and I had an amazing time getting to photograph Matthew + Bethany’s recent wedding. I had the opportunity to get to know them during an hilarious engagement session, in which Matthew kept me laughing at least 80% of the time. I was just happy that the photographs weren’t blurry from me laughing at his wit!

This wedding had a bit of added pressure, as Bethany’s father is a professional wedding photographer in West Virginia. Having a daughter ourselves, we understand the importance of this, and made sure to bring our “A-game.” It helps that I’ve named our car that…so we can always bring our A-game! (no, my jokes haven’t improved!) Bethany looked amazing in her gown, and braved the cold weather like it was no big deal! Though it’s difficult while just looking at these pixels to see how cold it was, there were crazy gusts of wind, snow flurries blowing through…the whole bit. Bethany and Matthew braved the wind and weather, and we are excited about some of the imagery we were able to produce! Hopefully, we made Dad happy, too!

It was an absolutely beautiful wedding at one of the most gorgeous churches in the region: the Lookout Mountain Presbyterian Church, and we were thrilled to get an opportunity to work at the new Stratton Hall, where we’ll be spending lots of Saturdays over the coming years! There were amazing florals, and some phenomenal catering all of the way from West Virginia (I’ll post that info as soon as I can get links!) and DJ Scuba Steve was there with all sorts of great mixes for the dance floor!
