Some people pray for a beautiful wedding day, while others might pray for cool weather. I’m not sure what sort of requests our beautiful bride was sending heavenward, but it was definitely the coolest July wedding I could imagine in this hemisphere. I was actually chatting 5 feet away from Seth and saw clouds or fog drifting between us. The fog was so thick for some of our outdoor photos, we had to stop using some of our longer camera lenses, and move to wider angles so we could get clearer images. I’ve really never seen anything like it! Once Seth + Mary Clare had said “I Do,” the fog seemed to lift, and it was sunshine from then on!
One thing that weather had no affect on was the amount of amazing family and friends that were there to witness a beautiful ceremony, and then to kick back and celebrate said ceremony. I’ve never seen Lookout Mountain’s Fairyland Club quite so full! It was awesome as well to see how many people seemed to dance through the reception, and were there to send off the couple at the end of the night. Mary Clare’s family has a beautiful tradition of “something blue.” For 40 years, a beautiful early ’70’s blue Skylark convertible has whisked away generations of brides and grooms from this family!
Seth + Mary Clare, thank you for having us as a part of your wedding day. Below are a few of our favorites, but you can register here to see all of the photos when they are available!
